Pete and Sheila x 2 Sheila and Pete met in Leicester and started singing together in 1997. Sheila’s background was in the contemporary folk music scene around Hastings whilst Pete's was in the traditional singing of the North East of England. Their repertoire and style is varied, reflecting their collective musical interests from traditional to more recent material. Guitars, mando-cello, cittern and concertina are used for accompaniement where appropriate, or are set aside for two-part harmony singing. Based in Leicester, they performed in various clubs and festivals around the U.K.. Such performances are now a rarity as Pete has moved back up to Northumberland.
